Fred Ward (*30 December 1942) is one of the most wonderful actors of the 70s, 80s, 90s and the new millenia. He is best known for roles in mainstream films like "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins" (1985), "The Right Stuff" (1983), "Tremors" (1990), "Chain Reaction" (1996), "Road Trip" (2000), "Sweet Home Alabama" (2002) or "Escape from Alcatraz" (1979). He appeared in over 70 movies. He was guest in TV Series like "Quincy", "Hulk", "Gun" and "The Hitchhiker". His first starring role he had in "Timerider" (1982). Other movie credits includes: "Southern Comfort" (1981), "Silkwood", "Uncommon Valor" (1983), "Secret Admirer" (1985), "Big Business" (1988), "Henry & June" (1990), "Thunderheart", "The Player", "Equinox", "Bob Roberts" (all 1992), "Short Cuts", "Two Small Bodies" (both 1993), "Naked Gun 33 1/3" (1994), "Tremors II: Aftershocks" (1996), "Best Men" (1997), "Dangerous Beauty" (1998), "Circus", The Crow 3 Salvation", "Chaos Factor" (all 2000), "Joe Dirt", "Summer Catch", "Corky Romano" (all 2001), "Enough", "Abandon" (both 2002), "Masked & Anonymous" (2003), "10.5", "The Last Ride" and "Funky Monkey" (all 2004). He also excutive produced the movie "Miami Blues" (1990). His most recent movies are: "Last of the Mustangs" (2006) and "The Feast of Love" (2007). Before acting, he dubbed italien movies and was boxer, martial artist, lumberjack, demolition man and cook. He worked often with Ed Harris (a good friend of him), Peter Gallagher, Tim Robbins and Director Robert Altman.
